DSI Underground (a SANDVIK owned company) is one of Australia’s largest, leading manufacturers, suppliers and exporters of specialist strata reinforcement and support products to the underground coal and metalliferous mining sectors. DSI Underground also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.
About the Role
Based at our Heatherbrae site, the Management Accountant role reports to the Finance Manager, and is responsible for internal reporting and analysis, both to Sandvik and DSI Head Offices and providing financial insights to key business stakeholders.
Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget
- Working closely with the broader Finance Team to contribute to preparation of monthly OneStream reporting
- Companywide budgeting and forecasting processes, including:
- Engaging with key business stakeholders to build accurate and reliable forecasting models
- Preparation and submission of annual budget to head office (after consultation with management),
- Preparation and submission of regular forecast revisions
- Analysing trends and financial performance across business units.
- Supporting audit requests.
- Taking part in systems and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring that budgets/forecasts are prepared in a manner that facilitates ease of comparison to actual results at multiple levels (e.g. Division, Cost Centre, Location, Function etc.)
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you will possess all the following attributes:
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification, CA preferred

- Strong Excel skills, required for data analysis
- Ability to establish strong relationships within the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate business partnering
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Desirable:
- Experience with OneStream Reporting and Consolidation System
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Navision)
