The Role:
Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, this full-time position is perfect for someone seeking hands-on accounting responsibilities coupled with the opportunity to drive real business improvements.
As our Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in understanding and managing inputs, processes, and achieving satisfactory margin and profit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small administrative team to execute daily accounting tasks and month-end activities.
- Deliver timely cost, sales, and margin reports incorporating key financial and non-financial KPIs.
- Timely and accurate preparation of profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, budgets, variance analysis, and commentaries.
- Ensure the appropriate evaluation and approval of capital expenditure.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of costings, budgets, and reporting systems.
- Meet all obligations and deadlines for compliance reporting to ATO, ASIC, ASX and financial auditors.
- Drive improvements and upgrades in accounting systems, ERP, and IT systems, with inventory management being the initial critical target.
The Applicant:
We are seeking individuals who possess:
- Minimum 5 years of management accounting experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and CA/CPA accreditation.
- Working understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, Corporations, and Tax Law.
