Management Accountant

Our Client: 

Our client is SA based success story with an exciting journey ahead due to its strong growth prospects and a consistent pipeline of future work. Private equity backed by a major investor in their field, providing significant investment into operations, systems, and corporate functions their rapidly expanding team is seeking a Management Accountant to support the Head of Finance with a diverse variety of tasks with a strong commercial and finance business partnering focus.
 
The Role: Reporting to the Head of Finance, responsible for a range of tasks including: 

• Monthly analysis of profit & loss and sales analysis.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
• Assist with capital expenditure forecasting.
• Assist with the annual budgeting and re-forecasting process.
• Project accounting and tracking client project/contract margins.
• Month end and quarterly reporting and assist with the annual financial reporting.
• Project work as requested i.e. ERP system implementation or reporting tools.
• Providing financial decision-support using modelling and analytics as requested.
• Assist with analysis and evaluation of various investment opportunities.
• Supporting the wider finance team as required to meet deadlines.

About You:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related.
• 2+ years’ experience – Big 4/Mid-tier accounting firm experience highly regarded.
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to articulate financial information to a variety of key stakeholders.
• Strong MS Excel skills essential and systems accounting experience highly regarded
• Ability to handle complexity and demonstrate a commercial approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
