If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Position Overview: We are looking for a committed Manager of Assets and Operations to build a career within the Local Government sector. Leading our dedicated team, this role provides strategic oversight of asset management and operational functions within the Town of Mosman Park. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, infrastructure, and redevelopment works align with the Town's vision, delivering high-quality assets and infrastructure for the community and visitors alike. This position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the town's future and making a tangible difference in enhancing the lives of its residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Plan and coordinate strategic works programs, capital works, building maintenance schedules and fleet management to advance the Town’s sustainability goals. Lead project management efforts, ensuring effective collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery. Initiate, drive, and influence the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of high-level strategies, policies, projects, and initiatives to optimise and implement best practice and innovative solutions for Council and the Town of Mosman Park Community. Lead the Town’s asset management function, including management of all elements of Town’s asset management framework, asset management planning, and related activities. Lead and coordinate the Town’s maintenance function, including staff, contractors, plant, rostering, programming, work planning, resource management, materials procurement, public realm management, and related activities. Lead and inspire an agile, responsive, innovative, respectful, cohesive, and high achieving team of people, by promoting and delivering excellent internal and external customer service and behaviours. Identify new strategies, initiatives, and innovative courses of action to foster a culture of continuous improvement to develop solutions to emerging challenges in a cost effective and sustainable manner, ensuring that the Town is optimally leveraging opportunities and implementing best practice policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in local government or similar public service industry. Extensive experience leading/supervising teams. Highly developed Customer Service Skills. Experience in Asset and Contract Management Procedures. Experience in construction techniques, maintenance, and design and asset management of roads, footpaths, kerbs, and drainage. Experience in project management. Sound financial management skills. Understanding of vehicle fleet and minor plant management. Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Excellent understanding and application of Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal English. Qualification in Civil Engineering and/or demonstrable experience in a relevant field.
