About The Role
We are seeking a high-performing Business Advisory Manager. The BAS Manager is responsible for meeting the overall teams’ productivity and client budgets, whilst ensuring value-added services are provided to clients.
Working within the Business Advisory division, the primary focus of this role is to provide a range of accounting solutions to our clients. Responding to client queries, providing advice, reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and management reports. Duties include:
- Accounting
- Review financial reports using Xero, MYOB and Reckon APS.
- Review and interpretation of MYOB and Xero files.
- Preparation of complex reports as requested.
- Taxation
- Review of complex BAS returns.
- Review of complex individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns and financial statements with limited supervision or direction.
- Review of complex fringe benefits tax returns.
- Detailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures (including assessments, objections etc.).
- Reporting & Budgets
- Review of management accounts, cash flow reports and annual financial reports across various entity structures and industries.
- Review and analyses of complex management reports for clients (i.e. cash flow reports, budget etc.)
- Review of team invoicing and management against budget.
- Management of Staff
- Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage underperformance with the assistance of the HR Representative.
- Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall firm's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision and values of the firm.
- Lead employees to meet the firm's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment.
- Maintain the staff’s work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, annual leave, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
