An exciting opportunity arises to join the City Assets & Operations team as the Manager Business Improvement. Reporting to the Executive Director you will be a senior technical expert within Council responsible for reviewing and investigating current business processes, along with developing and delivering technology-based Business Improvement solutions.
About the role:
- Undertake business process and service reviews and create Business Improvement plans.
- Analyse data, develop and implement strategic plans aligned with Council’s strategic direction.
- Provide leadership in asset management engineering, practices and in drafting and development of Asset Management Plans.
- Design and develop custom applications using the ArcGIS JavaScript API with current web application development technologies such as Angular.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across multiple directorates to develop digital programs that deliver continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to staff.
About You (Criteria): We are seeking an individual with:
- Extensive demonstrated experience in delivering innovative and effective business solutions and process improvements in asset management and / or other disciplines.
- Extensive and demonstrated Asset Management experience in Local Government.
- Strong asset Management knowledge in drainage, roads, footpaths, open space and other infrastructure.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in the use and development of spatial systems including ESRI.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and engagement abilities.
- Strong technical skills in ArcGIS Enterprise/ AGOL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Web Development languages, SQL and EAM
- Experience leading, managing and motivating teams.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary education in Engineering, Information Technology, and/or related discipline.
- Current motor vehicle driver license.
