Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.

Reporting to the Broker, Agency and Specialist Sales, Credit Coach, the

Business Improvement Manager role forms part of the BB Business Home Lending (BHLS), Broker, Agency & Specialist Services Teams (BASS) and primarily supports BASS Teams through exceptional service.

Do work that matters:

The Business Improvement Manager will assist create, support and drive strategic initiatives and execution across the BASS Team.

  • You will work collaboratively with peers, business partners and stakeholders including Brokers to ensure the needs of the business are consistently met, and co-ordinates across the BB business to deliver outcomes and solutions consistent with BASS business's credit, compliance, Banking Code and Service and Sales objectives.
  • You will play a key role in analysing business performance, implementing change, and identifying and assessing risks that could prevent achievement of our BASS business objectives, and is accountable for the planning, execution and delivery across the BASS business for sustainable change and remedial solutions.
  • You will be responsible for identifying the best business solutions for Brokers, and customers ensuring that our Teams have the necessary competencies to consistently deliver exceptional service.

More specifically, you will:

  • Development, maintain and complete regular reviews of the Commercial Lending and Asset Finance Broker Accreditation Skills and Education onboarding program.
  • Design effective delivery processes for the Commercial Lending & Asset Finance Broker Accreditation Skills and Education onboarding program.
  • Assist with delivery of Commercial Lending and Asset Finance Broker Accreditation Skills and Education onboarding program both face to face and remotely around Australia.
  • Support the Broker Education and Skills training program in particular by providing logistical and management support.
  • Ensure Broker collateral material is available, up to date and compliant.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in all internal dealings, and work collaboratively with peers, business partners and stakeholders including Brokers to support a culture that drives NPS objectives
  • Apply analytical skills to business problems and effectively communicate outcomes and recommendations
  • Proactively identify best practice within the business, embedding these practices across the business as a whole
  • Work in alignment with relevant BB Business Development, Risk & Operations team to ensure a unified approach is adopted across BASS business
  • Take the lead and be accountable of any activities and special projects assigned by the Credit Coach or General Manager.
  • Assist as required to prepare, issue and action various BASS Reports (Monthly / Quarterly) for BASS Risk forums to effectively manage the programs and ensure Group Compliance standards (risk controls) are met
  • Provide assistance to other members of the BASS and BHLS teams with ad-hoc tasks.
  • Actively contribute to the BASS team displaying strong team member behaviours that encourage productive working relationships and a strong high-performance culture.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Relevant experience in driving a high-performance culture, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong Financial Services Industry experience, including experience in a sales and/or risk role with exposure to Commercial and Asset Finance Brokers
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to work collaboratively with business partners and stakeholders
  • Exceptional organisational, planning, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Sound Commercial Acumen, Operational Risk and Compliance knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of bank products and systems
  • Tech literate with good PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel capability
  • Project Management experience (Desirable)
