They now have a unique opportunity for an experienced senior accounting professional to join their dedicated team. This could be an ideal opportunity for an Assistant Manager ready to take on more complexity and client engagement responsibilities. Or for an experienced Manager wishing to make a lateral move and enjoy the change of environment and varied client portfolio.
What they are looking for
A friendly, articulate, well presented and motivated accounting Business Services professional looking for a leadership role with autonomy.
As the Manager of the team of 4 accountants, you will have responsibility for a $1 million client portfolio and will take ownership of a variety of tasks including:
Key responsibilities:
- Full Client management and engagement providing business advisory, tax advice and compliance oversight
- Workflow, team management and mentoring
- Reviewing work completed by tax and Business Services accountants
- Maintaining high level technical skills and knowledge and perform tasks in accordance with taxation and legislative requirements and standards
- Support the Firm Partners
Qualification and Skills:
- Possess a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent degree
- CA or CPA qualified
- Minimum 7 years compliance and advisory services experience gained in an Australian public practice accounting firm
- Experience of working with clients with high turnovers and multiple entities
- Experience of working on international clients an advantage
- Workflow, team management and mentoring
- MYOB AE and Xero experience
- Strong in interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Meticulous, with a high level of attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- Enthusiastic about and enjoys mentoring and being a part of other team members successes
- Committed to the firm, clients and a long-term career in public practice
