The Capital Projects and Asset Management team will lead design, project governance and controls and project management as well as managing council’s asset portfolio to ensure that Council’s assets continue to meet the needs of the community and deliver sustainable outcomes for the community of the future.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for an aspiring executive to help shape the future direction of the team. Reporting to the Director, Open Space and Infrastructure, the Service Unit Manager Capital Projects and Asset Management will lead significant transformation for a multidisciplinary team in the development, design and delivery of rolling program of projects. You’ll ensure effective project governance through a sound project management framework. Your team will develop the organisations long-term capital works, based on adopted strategy and Asset Management plans.

To be Successful in Your Application You Will Demonstrate:
- A strong track record leading teams in engineering, landscape Architecture, construction, project management, Asset Management or project governance;
- An understanding of the principles and application of Asset Management in the context of government assets
- Outstanding leadership skills – a collaborative style which supports accountable decision making;
- High level project management skills supported by a strong understanding of project management principles, governance and controls;
- Outstanding negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and communication skills to support your contribution to the development of organisational strategy and its implementation.
