Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Manager, Client Operations to join our team.

The Manager, Client Operations plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient interactions between the GXE and its clients, and ensures our clients have a great experience. This is a “hands-on role” and is critical for delivering high-quality service to clients and investors, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the broader objectives of GXE. You will need to work “at the speed of the client” and to succeed in this role you will need to develop great relationships with our clients, service providers and the GXE team.

What success looks like

In the first month, you will….

Establish key relationships within the company, grasp the core vision, strategy, and value proposition of GXE, and understand our client base and business priorities. You'll familiarise yourself with the existing Client Operations, its processes, and priorities, complete your onboarding, and assume operational control of the Client Operations role. This includes managing daily to quarterly operational responsibilities, leading Client Onboarding, Transaction Processing, and Client Communication.

In the first three months, you will…

You will have formed significant connections with our primary clients, gaining insights into their challenges and ensuring GXE meets all contractual obligations. You'll have full operational command over Client Operations, resolve any backlogs in transactions, investment committees, and corporate actions, and set key performance metrics for the Client Operations function.

In the next few months, you will...

Shift your focus to understanding our sales pipeline to support client onboarding effectively and fulfilling our contractual promises. You will enhance client and investor documentation, assess the "current state" of GXE's Client Operations, identify gaps, envision a future state, and devise a plan to bridge these gaps. Furthermore, you'll implement reporting across Client Operations, actively participate in quarterly planning to align Client Operations with GXE's broader product development roadmap, and seek opportunities to expand our services within our client base to drive adoption, expansion, and renewals.

Requirements

You have
  • A client-centric mindset and a passion for ensuring client success.
  • Strong executive engagement skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively interact, influence, and build relationships with executives and senior leaders within client organisations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed commercial and business acumen, an ambitious entrepreneurial spirit, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Incredible attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
  • A deep understanding of our industry and the ability to stay current with industry trends. Domain knowledge within family offices, private equity, property development, and venture capital would be beneficial.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Five years of experience in financial services and investment operations, preferably with a client- or investor-focus in wholesale funds, private equity, real estate or venture capital.
