Salary Range: $1,764 - $2,013 per 35 hour week + superannuationWarrumbungle Shire is strategically positioned on the Newell Highway, a short drive from Tamworth, Mudgee and Dubbo, and just over 3 hours from Newcastle, making Warrumbungle Shire a great place to live and work. The PositionThe Manager Corporate Services leads, manages and coordinates the areas of administration, integrated planning and reporting, Service NSW, insurances, risk management, records management, communications, information technology and customer service. The provision of services to both external and internal customers is highly important to this role, as is ensuring the integrity of Council’s support services and records systems including management of archival and disposal programs and providing best practice customer service and initial contact functions to the community.In this role you will oversee the customer service and Service NSW teams, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service and records management. You will also manage Council's data and information technology systems and processes, and Council's communications systems, including social media.This role is responsible for freedom of information and information privacy across the organisation as well as Council's Integrated Planning and reporting processes, managing Council’s insurance portfolios (excluding workers compensation) and risk management.To succeed in this role, you will need to have a passion for continuous improvement and compliance and a good understanding of Information Technology processes and requirements. Your leadership and customer service experience will key to your success in effectively supporting and building strong working relationships with your dedicated customer service team, senior leadership das well as internal and external clients.Essential Requirements
  • Commitment to Council’s Mission, Values and Code of Conduct
  • Understanding of work health and safety (WHS) in the workplace and commitment to a positive contribution to WHS in the workplace and compliance with Council and legislative requirements
  • Diploma in Business, Communications or equivalent relevant qualification, together with knowledge and skills gained through extensive experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of Risk Management System including incident reporting and recording.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally, encourage collaboration, teamwork and partnerships striving for excellence in achieving Council’s vision and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, develop and implement effective strategies and solutions that support Council’s goals and values.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality written reports, policies, action plans, correspondence and other documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WHS and ethical principles and to act with probity at all times as well as the ability to use discretion and judgement.
  • Class “C” Drivers Licence.
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in relevant discipline.
