Credit Transformation is central to credit risk management and explores opportunities to use data and analytics to transform the traditional credit risk management landscape and brings efficiency to the process through automation.
Your role will lead the experimentation and prototyping of various automation initiatives using advanced data and modelling techniques. This includes implementing best practice methodologies to design solutions that improve the measurement of credit risk and lead to better risk management and insights, in addition to acting as the People Leader to four team members.
This role will give you the opportunity to lead highly technical quantitative projects across the bank's entire portfolio. Providing insights and leadership on statistical techniques for model development is also a key element of the role.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Exploration and delivery of transformation and automation opportunities
- Full life-cycle model development and visualisation UI
- Ad-hoc analytic tasks to support business and credit decisions and strategies
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong statistics knowledge, data manipulation, fluent in coding languages such as R/Python in a statistical modelling context and experience in manipulation of relational database via SQL
- Strong analytic, evaluation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable you to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in statistical modelling/advanced analytics, either through academic or 'on the job' roles
- Credit Risk domain knowledge/change management is advantageous
- Knowledge of NAB products, processes or systems would be advantageous.
