Your new role 

With a reputation for excellence and expertise, Vincents is seeking a Manager with extensive experience to deliver External Audit engagements for a diverse range of clients in their Canberra office.

You are a seasoned leader and see the value of delivering high standard outcomes through your team. In this role you will take ownership of your engagements with the responsibility to empower your people and the support of the Vincents team from across their Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast offices.

In this role you will:

• Oversee and perform relevant audit engagements in line with the relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards.
• Perform financial statement audits, reviews, and specific procedure engagements for diverse entities, including government, private companies, not-for-profit organisations, and statutory entities.
• Be a key member of the engagement team, including providing coaching and assistance to junior team members.
• Be a trusted point of contact for clients, addressing their enquiries on complex business advice and proactive strategies, and liaise with external agencies.
• Assist in setting and monitoring performance and development-related goals through feedback and coaching. 
• Prepare tenders and proposals for both panel and non-panel arrangements and conduct audits in accordance with the International Standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of standards.

What you'll need to succeed 

• A strong motivation to realise outstanding results through your people
• Expertise in External Audit
• Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or Finance/Business-related degree.
• CA/CPA qualifications
• Proven history of delivering External Audits engagements to a high standard
• Strong project management skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Exceptional communication, with methodical problem-solving abilities
• Baseline security clearance or eligibility to obtain (required)
