- Salary range between $119,099 - $128,818 per annum,depending on experience + superannuation.

You will assist with strategic planning and identification of the Corporation’s objectives, and the establishment, achievement and evaluation of performance targets and priorities for resourcing within the Corporation.
In addition, you will provide the CEO with project and program management expertise, community development advice, and policy and advisory functions.
In summary, you will coordinate and monitor activities across the Corporation to assist the CEO to meet statutory and operational obligations.

About usThe Karri Karrak Aboriginal Corporation is the regional corporation for the South West Boojarah region. This region refers to the Wardandi and Bibbulmun/Piblemen Noongar language or dialectical groups. It encompasses towns including Busselton, Capel, Margaret River, Witchcliffe, Augusta, Windy Harbour, Northcliffe, Pemberton, Manjimup, Bridgetown and Nannup. The approximate size of the South West Boojarah region is 10,085 sq kms.
There are a number of significant sites in the South West Boojarah region. These include caves, some of which are the homes of mythological beings, ceremonial sites, rock art, paintings and artefacts. Cultural sites of significance also include the Nannup Caves, Jewel Cave, Devil’s Lair and a Birthing Lake.
You will:- Advise the board and other committees on governance matters.
- Monitor that board and committee policies and procedures are followed.
- Prepare agenda and board packs, and any other associated papers or preparation for board and other committee meetings.
- Take accurate minutes at board and committee meetings, including attendance list.
- Coordinate the timely completion and dispatch of meeting minutes and other board and committee papers.
- Maintain a list of action items and follow up action items as required.
- Assist to plan and organise meetings, including logistics, for all meetings including Annual General Meetings.
- Prepare travel allowances and payments for board and committee members as well as staff when required.
- Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements under relevant legislation such as the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act and the Corporations Act.
- Assist with mail distribution and errands.
- Undertake other duties as directed.
- Experience in a company secretarial role, supporting a board of directors.
- Knowledge of the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act and the Corporations Act.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate.
- Demonstrated exceptional organisational skills and experience tradcking multiple tasks.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal society and culture and the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, particularly around Aboriginal heritage, native title, and other land matters.
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail.
