About the Role
The core purpose of the role is to support the Head of Health Safety and Security to develop, implement and promote the health and safety (H&S) strategic vision. This role focuses on fit for purpose risk management, capability, learning and engagement programs that centre on preventing harm, minimising risks, and promoting a culture of care and curiosity.
Collaborating with key stakeholders Executives to Committees through to international operations, essential to the success of the role is the engagement, collaboration and influencing of key stakeholders to understand H&S needs, develop effective strategies and solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
About You
As an exceptional talent, you will bring:
- The ability to partner collaboratively, engage and influence across multiple leadership stakeholder groups
- Experience in management position including strong leadership capability
- Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and risk management
- Excellent skills in developing and facilitating various H&S risk management tools (JHA, HAZID etc)
- Solutions focussed and action oriented to drive continuous improvement
- Significant demonstrated experience in large, complex organisations and high-risk industry
- The ability to build relationships across all stakeholder groups – internal and external
- Bring a lens of what ‘good’ looks like and how this can be brought to life operationally within the business
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety / WHS or relevant field (Degree or Masters preferred)
- Chartered professional with Australian Institute of Health and Safety (or equivalent international body) desirable
- Lead investigator qualifications (ICAM/Taproot) desirable
