The Role
Reporting into the Head of Investment Operations and Investment Data and Analytics, The Manager, Investment Operations is responsible for leading the middle office function, supporting MLC's Specialist Managers within MLC Asset Management. This includes Fixed Interest, Equities, Derivatives Specialist team and Managed Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting a variety of asset classes including Equities, Fixed Interest, F&O, Derivatives, ETFs and OTCs
Providing operational support to front office/Portfolio Managers
Onboarding of new Funds, Clients and/or Platforms
Overseeing and supporting the team's BAU activities including:
trade processing, matching and settlement in various systems/asset classes
cash forecasting
asset rebalancing for model portfolios
collateral management process
OTC Trade & life cycle events including Reporting
Management and maintenance of ISDAs and CDEAs (incl. account setups)
Management and maintenance of counterparties, clearers and PBs as relevant
Maintenance of Investment Management Agreements, reporting obligations and fee arrangement
Management of Client queries
Mandate Monitoring / Compliance
Management of pre and post trade compliance queries
Support and implement new business activities and projects
Implementation of any regulatory changes
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Strong understanding and experience in middle office operations
- Strong understanding of various asset classes and preferably Fixed Interest and OTC Derivatives
- Extensive experience in Investments/Assets Management/Finance with minimum of proven exposure to Investment Operations
- Sound knowledge of investment markets (listed and unlisted), including managed accounts
- Advance experience in systems including Bloomberg, CTM, DTCC, XSPRISA, FX Connect/GTSS, ACADIA would be highly regarded
- Ability to lead, mentor and build a high-performing team
- Ability to work in a pressurised and deadline-driven environment
