Due to a recent change within the EMRC, an opportunity has arisen to join the Team here and put your environmental and operational knowledge into action. From within our Local Government organisation, your input will be vital to ensure ongoing successful operations of our Waste Management sites, including the Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park and multiple Transfer Stations which perform a vital waste management and resource recovery role within the community. Sitting within the Operations Team and reporting to our newly appointed Chief Operating Officer, this position is a key role with a competitive remuneration package on offer.
To be successful in this position you will require
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of waste management operational activities;
- Knowledge of tender and contract administration and management practices and standards;
- Highly developed research, analytical, and problem solving skills;
- Highly developed project planning and management skills;
- Highly developed oral communication and interpersonal skills ;
- Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Highly developed ability to manage approved budgets;
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications and Project Management software; and
- Capability of working within budgetary and time constraints to ensure objectives are achieved.
