Seeking a Manager People & Culture for a not-for-profit organisation based in Townsville! Your new company Hays is pleased to partner with a not-for-profit organisation that provides several services including counselling, family support, mediation, family dispute resolution, NDIS services, etc. This organisation services the North Queensland community from offices in Townsville, Ayr, Bowen, Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Longreach and Normanton. Due to an opening in their HR space, we are seeking a Manager People & Culture to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. Your new role Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead the Human Resources, Payroll, Quality Management, and WHS services within the overall Corporate Services Department. This role is responsible for the provision of HR and Payroll advice and support to both management and the broader staff group with a focus on developing and sustaining safe and positive workplace practices and culture. The role will also lead to ongoing development and maintenance of systems such as Quality management, WHS, Learning, HR and Payroll systems. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will require:
Relevant degree level qualification with extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant qualifications, expertise, and experience.
Significant experience across general human resources functions with particular expertise in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, developing compliant policies and procedures, and resolving complex workforce issues.
Membership of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI) or equivalent professional body.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including developing and maintaining strong professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed consultation and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to provide authoritative advice while maintaining credible relationships at all levels.
Current open driver's license.
Current, and ability to retain, both a Working with Children Blue Card check and an NDIS Disability Worker Screening.
