Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeLocation: SydneyType: 12 month fixed-term contract, fulltimeThe opportunityOpportunity to work for a leading Global Insurer.Looking for Manager Performance & Planning to join our team on a 12-month fixed term basis!Your new roleThis role is responsible for leading the collation and analysis of performance data and insights to help QBE answer its most important strategic questions on its journey to become a stronger, simpler and most customer focused insurer. This role is also instrumental in supporting planning activities, broader strategic & portfolio problem solving using analysis, strategic thinking, influencing and communication.You will also;Manage multi-disciplinary virtual teams to solve critical performance and strategic issues for QBE (either end to end project for smaller project or end to end workstream in larger projects)Track progress of business against strategy and manage ongoing refinement of strategic assumptions and prioritiesBrings insights from customers, partners, our people, competitors, outside industries, regulators and technology / insuretechs into QBE to help inform portfolio & strategic decision making and refine our assumptionsLead thinking to structure strategic problem solving using appropriate frameworks and practices (e.g. hypotheses driven approach, driver trees, value-chain, porters 5 forces)Demonstrate strong understanding of drivers of business performance and practical challenges faced by business leadersAbout youTo be successful as the Manager Performance and Planning you will have extensive experience in a performance, planning and or a strategy role in a corporate environment.You will also have;Strong strategy skills (analysis, problem solving, strategic communication and report writing, project management)Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.Exposure in financial modelling and analysisExperience in business case development.Financial services or insurance industry experience (preferred)Strong communication skills both written and verbalAbout QBEWe can never really predict what’s around the corner, but at QBE we’re asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.We’re an international insurer that’s building momentum towards realising our vision of becoming the most consistent and innovative risk partner.And our people will be at the centre of our success.
