Our role is to plan, build and maintain Western Australia’s State Road Network valued at just over $46 billion. We work closely with our portfolio partners, Department of Transport and Public Transport Authority as well as local government to support the needs of all road users across the state by providing an integrated world-class road transport network.
Our services are delivered through the dedicated efforts of our employees who are located in ten regional and several metropolitan offices throughout the State.
About the Role
Main Roads is seeking a committed and results driven individual to join its Wheatbelt Region as Manager Project Development and Delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaborative and high performing development/delivery team within a leading infrastructure and network management organisation.
The Manager Project Development and Delivery will be responsible for managing the Development and Delivery of all capital and improvement projects in the Wheatbelt Region comprising works delivered through the Statewide Road Construction Panel Contract, Statewide Structural Panel Contract Public Tenders or delivered by Main Roads in-house direct managed teams and Local Governments and provide subject matter expertise and technical direction and advice.
About You
This is a critical, leadership role within our Wheatbelt Region. We need an enthusiastic leader and self-motivated individual with extensive management skills, knowledge and experience in Project Development and Delivery of civil construction infrastructure projects along with extensive road and/or bridge design, construction and maintenance experience. Your will need to demonstrate your understanding of project and contract management practices including Superintendence of infrastructure contracts, as well as being able to demonstrate extensive experience and the ability to develop and implement a wide range of contracts.

Your leadership capabilities will need to be first class, you will be contributing to the formulation of corporate and directorate policies and strategies, you will also manage safety in the workplace along with the management of employee behaviour, performance and development.

A statement outlining your extensive skill, knowledge and experience relevant to the key deliverables of the role focussing on aspects related to development of civil infrastructure projects, project management, contract management, leadership and management, and engaging with stakeholders in no more than three (3) pages.
If applicable to you, a copy of your Degree in Civil Engineering.
