Manager Recycling & Collections
Due to retirement, we are looking for a Manager Recycling & Collections to join our leadership team. Our facility processes about 600 tonnes of recyclable waste weekly. All of the waste from Bundaberg Regional Council's yellow-top bins is hand-sorted by staff with moderate disabilities, baled and sold for creating new product. We also operate 2 Container Refund Point centres, the Bundaberg Drummuster program which recycles chemical containers from the agricultural industry, plus transport and process recyclable product from local organisations.
This role has a high operational component, with daily deliverables and a focus on workplace health and safety in an industrial environment. The Manager is responsible for workplace health and safety, customer service, staff, profitability and compliance.
To make a difference in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in direct supervision of staff
- Ability to deliver to tight time frames
- Experience in stock and quality control and managing maintenance schedules
- Knowledge of production line processes
- Experience or willingness, to work with people with disabilities
- Customer service and relationship management skills
