The Role
With recent project wins and a busy pipeline of work, we are seeking a Team Leader and/or Industry recognised Technical Lead with a background in Engineering and Studies related to Transmission and Distribution networks to join our Power & Energy team in Sydney. The successful candidate will develop and lead the team to identify, win and deliver projects to a consistently high standard of timeliness, quality and in line with the business plan.
The position provides competent management and business development skills (including industry profiling activities; sourcing new clients; repeat work from existing clients) to expand the Market team capability in the State and source business opportunities to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across the team’s portfolio with a technical focus in Transmission based projects including the associated Engineering studies.
- Provide input to the group business plan and implement the team’s components of the plan
- Growth of the team through targeted client relationship management and business development activity
- Manage the commercial performance of the team
- Effective management and leadership of the team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development
- Provide input to projects at a project management and/or review level to achieve reliable project performance in terms of both timeliness and quality
- Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 12 years of practical experience in Transmission and Distribution sector
- An understanding of business, organisation, and marketing context of business solutions
- An excellent working relationship with TNSP and a high level of knowledge and experience with NSPs standards and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to successfully undertake and deliver client’s TOR within budget and timelines
- Possesses project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial, and technical aspects
- Providing final review of technical reports and proposals to ensure a high quality and standard
