Our culture encourages and supports equity, diversity, and inclusion for our employees and our community.We will trust you to bring:Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources, Planning or Economics or equivalent tertiary qualifications/professional experience related to the position.Class C drivers licence.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying sustainability principles and / or reporting frameworks.Successful experience in managing and supervising staff and in coordinating project teams in environmental related areas.Proven project management skills, including planning, organising, reporting and implementing projects on target and within budget.Experience in contributing to successful change management initiatives.Stakeholder and community engagement, including experience dealing with senior stakeholdersDemonstrated experience leading a teamAn understanding of energy, water and waste issues affecting local government and the local communityKnowledge of current best practice sustainability models and practicesThings you will do:Provide leadership for the development and implementation of Council’s sustainability strategies, programs, projects and related initiatives.Lead the development of Council frameworks, tools, policies and practices to ensure that Council’s sustainability approach is innovative and informed by best-practice.Plan, implement and evaluate campaigns, programs and other events aimed at increasing the Randwick community’s participation in and commitment to improved sustainability outcomes.Establish and implement best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines for all project types and frameworks for the measurement and verification of energy, water and waste efficiency projects.Work with stakeholders within, across and external to Council to build Randwick’s future resilience, including working with CouncilFurther information: Employment in this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check with a result of no relevant adverse findings.Visit www.randwick.nsw.gov.au/jobs to view the position description or contact Kerry Kyriacou, Director City Planning on (02) 9093 6894.
