The role will also provide extensive, expert knowledge and experience in advising on all aspects of the attraction and recruitment of staff within the policy and legislative framework policy under which QCS operates.
In this role you will:
- Lead and manage a team of 15 FTE in the Talent Acquisition Group to provide high level human-centric services.
- Manage bulk end-to-end recruitment of Custodial Correctional Officers (CCO), Case Managers (CM) Probation Service Officers (PSO) and Psychologists whilst optimising the performance of the team, through coaching, mentoring and guidance.
- Liaise with the Queensland correctional centres, district offices and Queensland Corrective Service Academy, with respect to workforce planning and appointment requirements.
- Lead the team in cultivating productive working relationships, collaborating and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of best practice talent sourcing and attraction recruitment processes.
- Represent the agency across a range of platforms including at career and job fairs, and recruitment/industry events to source talent, foster strategic partnerships and build our employer brand.
- Experience in the identification, design and implementation of strategies and solutions relating to strategic workforce management and planning.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a large recruitment function at a team leader level or above with particular focus on performance optimisation, workforce forecasting, and designing Talent Acquisition strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in the utilisation of team resources, deploying and triaging teams where critical recruitment needs arise.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with external vendors and suppliers, bettering the service offering through sound procurement process.
- Demonstrated performance management expertise with the ability to implement enterprise wide recruitment strategies to enhance the candidate experience.
