Manager, Tax Operations

The opportunity

This exciting new role will support the implementation and optimisation of the Group's global tax operating model. This role involves close collaboration with global tax team peers to facilitate global tax reform, tax reporting, process improvement, and adherence to tax control frameworks.

Your new role

In this role you will

• Assist Senior Management Tax Operation with group tax reporting, supporting Divisional tax teams and forecasting.
• Drive global implementation of tax reforms (CBCR, Pillar Two, Transparency) and TRCS.
• Contribute to global process improvements in Tax Operations, emphasizing optimization, automation, and right-shoring via the GSSC.
• Support Group tax control framework implementation, managing tax risk reporting and issue remediation.
• Develop and prioritize operational deliverables for the tax function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
• Assist in introducing and supporting global minimum tax and TRCS.
• Contribute to the development of the Group’s tax target operating model and tax risk framework.
• Support robust tax control frameworks and divisional tax control reporting.
• Ensure timely remediation of tax control issues in Group risk systems.
• Collaborate with global finance and Tax Operations to enhance the tax operating model and drive efficient transfer of tax processes.

About you

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Taxation along with Postgraduate qualifications (CA/CPA).
• Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven problem-solving and research abilities.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Prior experience in a commercial environment. A background in general insurance and/or financial services is advantageous
