Your new role:
Reporting to the Head of Workplace & Procurement, the Manager, Workplace & Property is a key member of AustralianSuper's Procurement & Workplace Operations team, accountable for accommodation management (office premises) and workplace operations (office facilities management).
Key duties include but are not limited to:
The Manager, Workplace Operations is responsible for ensuring AustralianSuper's global workplace operations are effectively managed and delivered which include:
- The development and management of a global accommodation strategy for the Fund.
- The development and management of workplace design standards for the Fund.
- Lease and sub-lease management.
- Fulfilment of tenant obligations on behalf of the Fund for leases.
- Fulfilment of landlord obligations on behalf of the Fund for subleases.
- Reception activities at required premises.
- Visitor registration.
- Office support activities at required locations (including mail, couriers, printing, first aid roster coordination, fire warden coordination, contractor access and supervision, security access pass issuance and collection)
- Meeting room and internal event booking management at required locations.
- Workplace asset management.
- Facilities management (repairs and maintenance)
- Fleet management (for tool of trade vehicles)
- Office capital works (minor and major works related to office relocations, new fit outs, renovations)
What you'll need:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, Project Management or a related field is preferred.
- 15+ years' experience in Commercial Real Estate or Property & Facilities Management.
- Significant experience leading a multi-disciplinary Workplace Operations and Security Team or similar.
- Strong knowledge and technical understanding of building operations, workplace technologies, building services and asset maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of workplace operations and WH&S.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of commercial property leasing.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of contract and vendor management.
- Experience with P&Ls, financial models, budgets and BI tools.
- Successful management of complex projects and to manage competing deadlines within tight timeframes.
