PMX is a leading caravan and camper trailer manufacturer and retailer in WA.
We have a large workshop located in Canning Vale responsible for the manufacturing and supply of quality new caravans, camper trailers and accessories to our three WA-based showroom and are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
As the Production Manager, you will be tasked with maintaining the effective management of our quality standards and safety standards and improving efficiencies in our production unit to ensure we meet production targets.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Manage all aspects of production operations, including manufacturing processes, workflow optimization and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient production schedule;
- Effective management of production staff to ensure quality standards and production targets are met, including recruitment, training and ongoing performance review;
- Ensuring that all occupational health and safety procedures and protocols are upheld at all times and conducting regular safety reviews to identify any inadequacies;
- Regular review of quality control measure and procedures to identify and address any issues;
- Overseeing inventory levels and managing supply of materials, equipment and components to minimize production delays and disruptions;
- Managing relationships with local and overseas suppliers;
- Identify opportunities for process and cost improvement and adopting best practices to streamline operations and maximize productivity;
- Regular and effective communication with other business units including sales, marketing, logistics to coordinate production schedules and support business objectives;
- Regular meetings with senior management to discuss production schedule and other important matters.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Demonstrated experience in a production/manufacturing management role, preferably within the automotive or recreational vehicle industry;
- Tertiary degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management or a related field or at least 5 years experience in lieu of formal qualifications;
- Strong leadership and team-building skills;
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles and safety regulations;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external statkeholders;
