This role is based at Hutchinson Builders Centre in Townsville adjacent to Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
Our members and fans are at the heart of everything we do and are the lifeblood of our club. As the Cowboys Marketing and Communications Executive, you will nurture our relationship with our members and fans by crafting compelling and creative messages and campaigns.
As an innovative member of our dynamic Brand team, the successful applicant will be a strategic marketer who has strong digital, data, and marketing automation skills as well as traditional retail marketing expertise. Your previous experience will ensure you are a skilled communicator and relationship builder who understands how to attract, engage, convert and retain customers while building brand loyalty and advocacy.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high quality marketing, communications and promotional initiatives to support consumer and corporate membership acquisition and retention
- Monitor, analyse and report marketing campaign results and utilise insights to improve campaign delivery on an ongoing basis
- Design, promote and deliver club activations at events and game days to engage with members, fans and the community
Technical Deliverables:
- Develop annual marketing plans and budgets
- Develop Marketing and Communications content (inc print, digital, social, EDM, POS, newsletter, media releases)
- Develop design and production briefs for collateral, digital and video content
- Manage the corporate and consumer membership microsites
- Utilise the marketing automation system and associated marketing platforms
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a marketing or communications-related field
- Proven experience working autonomously to deliver Marketing and Communications campaigns that achieve commercial objectives
- Proven experience in delivering social media, e-commerce & automated marketing campaigns
- Strong technical proficiency with: Email marketing platforms (e.g. Marketo); Content management systems; Administrator level on social media platforms (specifically Facebook); Adobe Photoshop.
- Superb written and communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy across all outputs
- Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships across departments, partner organisations and community groups
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Desirable/Highly Regarded:
- Marketing membership-based products or services for clubs, rewards programs, etc
- Marketing the sports industry
- Marketing live entertainment or event-based products
