ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing and Digital Communications Coordinator will work with stakeholders across the organisation to implement, execute and promote the delivery of marketing, fundraising and Digital projects.
This role is focused on executing Marketing and fundraising programs and the development of digital marketing assets, to help HeartKids increase brand awareness and community engagement. The role will support the marketing needs of the organisation to increase income through national Marketing and fundraising campaigns, and promotion of our organisation to new and existing audiences. Working to tight deadlines, this role is responsible for coordinating that elements are delivered on time.
The role will also support the increase in HeartKids' digital presence and engagement, and grow and manage our online community, including the management of social platforms and the communications and content/ editorial calendar.
External collaboration will include working with agencies and other key stakeholders, to produce Marketing and campaign resources and ensure that processes are in place to maintain quality and frequency of production.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Tertiary qualification in communications, combined with experience in a Marketing and/or communications, digital strategy, especially communication planning and Digital reporting
- A proven history of planning, developing and managing social media strategies
- Previous experience in a not-for-profit or health related field highly desirable
- A strong communicator that has experience working sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to create engaging, brand-aligned content across various formats including video, blog posts, EDM, website, social media creative and copy
- Well-developed content design and development skills including digital publishing
- An understanding of the fundamentals of both traditional and DigitalMarketing and ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, digital and video format
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy team whilst taking ownership and managing multiple, competing deadlines
- Strong planning and time management skills, with precise attention to detail and excellent editing, proofing and copywriting skills
- Experience with Salesforce and journey management for key persona journeys
- Strong knowledge of Canva, In-Design, Meta Business, In Design, content management systems and Microsoft Suite
- A current National Police Criminal History Check and a current Working with Children Check
