Graphic Designer & Digital Media Coordinator
Part time Role
19.5 hours per week: (Wednesday 9am to 5pm, Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 2pm Friday)
$35 per hour
Woonona Bulli RSL Club is the largest Club in the northern Illawarra suburbs located 10 minutes north of Wollongong. The Club’s facilities include in-house catering, a 300-seat brasserie, coffee shop, bar, gaming room, TAB and sports lounge, auditorium, internal and external function spaces and a landscaped outdoor kids play area. The Club also operates a very successful award-winning members' only gym on site with childcare. Use of the gym is provided free of charge to all employees.
With a Masterplan well underway, this is a unique long-term opportunity for a passionate creative to join our small and motivated team as we continue to grow.
About the Role
Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the creation of seasonal content, photoshoots, events, and other content creation as required.
As the Graphic Designer and Digital Media Coordinator, you will be pivotal in growing the Club’s digital presence and identity. As such, you will implement brand marketing strategies and ensure consistency of the brand across all digital and social media channels.
You will work to our marketing calendar and workflow system, ensuring all media collateral across organic and paid socials, web content and cloud-based platforms are aligned and scheduled in an accurate and timely manner.
We are looking for someone who is organised, collaborates well, with a proactive and agile approach to the role as the business continues to grow. The successful applicant will ideally have a strong interest in hospitality.
Comprehensive Adobe Suite skills are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and schedule social media content across Instagram and Facebook, maintaining consistent brand guidelines, voice and tone across all digital touchpoints.
- Drive digital growth
- Provide performance analytics and insights on digital/social media initiatives.
- Develop, deliver and schedule creative and relevant digital and social media content ideas and related assets on a weekly basis – including original photography, video and other printed collateral
- Research and gain understanding of key audience, using findings as a basis for planned content to drive brand awareness and membership growth
- Proven ability to: Manage tight deadlines; flexibility to make edits, enhancements and modifications at short notice; follow policy and procedures
- Monitoring all channels daily for comments and feedback
- Manage asset library and workflow scheduling system
- Website content management
- Some administrative work as required
Experience & Skills
- 3 + years’ experience in graphic design of digital and print media coordination
- Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, XD and Photoshop
- Good knowledge of social media trends and an understanding of social media metrics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with copywriting and content creation
- Self-motivated and energetic with willingness to learn
- Solid Graphic Design skills - Qualification a must
- Experience working in Later and backend of WordPress highly regarded
- Experience working in Facebook Business Manager & Google Analytics highly regarded
