About the Business:
The Waves Sports Club is a market leading, not-for-profit social and sports club with a diverse range of products and services, including food and beverage, functions and catering, gaming, entertainment, sport, and is heavily involved in an array of community-based events. The Waves Group has multiple venues, employs over 100 staff, has over 60,000 members, and is affiliated with sixteen sporting and social sub-clubs.
The Role:
As a Marketing Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our marketing efforts and helping to promote our brand across various channels. From social media management to event coordination, you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry reporting directly to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks and duties, assisting the Marketing Manager.
- Free and ticketed entertainment planning and booking in line with budget requirements.
- Spruiking.
- Proactive creation of new promotions across all areas of the business and execution of those promotions.
- Maintaining existing promotions, events, and entertainment.
- Social media coordination and content creation.
- Competitor research.
- Graphic design
Requirements: Skills, Education & Experience:
- Accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- A likeable, engaging personality during customer engagement.
- Strong computer and mobile app skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe suite, all social media platforms.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- An understanding of basic graphic design principles.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools will be beneficial.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach is a must.
This role requires evening, weekend, and public holiday rostered hours.
