We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Assistant to join our team and be part of an exciting journey to promote and elevate one of the most prominent resorts in the Great Ocean Road Region – the Deep Blue Hotel & Hot Springs Warrnambool. As Marketing Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to champion unforgettable tourism, wellness, and hospitality experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Expertise: Utilize your broad knowledge and understanding of digital applications to enhance our online presence. Manage social media platforms, optimize website content, and explore new digital marketing avenues to attract and engage our target audience.
2. Social Media Management: Take the lead in managing our social media channels, including content creation, scheduling posts, and interacting with our online community. Share captivating stories, stunning visuals, and enticing promotions to inspire travel enthusiasts and wellness seekers.
3. Creative Campaign Development: Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop innovative marketing campaigns that showcase the unique offerings of our resort. 
4. Content Creation: Bring our resort to life through compelling written and visual content. Whether it's crafting engaging blog posts, designing eye-catching graphics, or producing captivating videos, your storytelling skills will captivate audiences and drive engagement.
5. Collaborative Spirit: Work collaboratively with various departments within the resort to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all marketing efforts. From the front desk to the spa, your ability to communicate effectively will foster a cohesive brand identity.
6. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation in the tourism, wellness, and hospitality sectors.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ experience in marketing or equivalent qualification 
• Prior experience in a multi-faceted marketing role, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and social media management.
• Proficiency in various digital applications and tools, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• A genuine passion for championing unique tourism, wellness, and hospitality experiences, with a deep understanding of the industry landscape.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey our resort's story and value proposition effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to work closely with team members across different departments to achieve common goals.
