The Role
We seek an exceptional Marketing & Communications Officer who has a contemporary approach to the development and implementation of communication and social media activities that support the goals of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD). The Marketing & Communications Officer will build, grow and manage online communities in line with Emmaus Catholic College's vision for learning, wellbeing and faith formation for each of its students.
Role Outline
The successful applicant will be supportive of Catholic education and be required to:
- Convey the evolving learning narrative of the organisation through engaging content.
- Communicate messages and news for each school through written, graphic and video formats. - Initiate social media campaigns.
- Use data analytics to evaluate community engagement and design new ways to engage with the community.
- Implement effective communication strategies which foster genuine and mutually beneficial relationships with internal (parents) and external (community, business and tertiary) stakeholders.
- Deliver timely reporting and analysis on communication and social media activities.
- Update website information in a timely manner using CSPD platforms and support.
- Support the Principal by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with - local parishes, surrounding schools and other schools within the Diocese of Parramatta, - local media outlets and journalists and - local politicians.
- Maintain and grow the reach of websites and social media platforms to communicate and engage with students, parents and other partners.
- Provide learning opportunities for Parents and Carers which deepens their understanding of using the College website and social media platforms for communication.
Role Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Creative ability to use video editing apps to create professional videos.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in communication, social media, marketing or similar.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant field of communication, social media or similar.
- Excellent organisation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage numerous communications within a day and week across two schools.
- Passion about social media and communications.
