Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, you will work as part of our Events Team in our Wollongong head office. This is an office based role.
The Marketing, Communications and Events Project Manager is responsible for managing the development, production and implementation of integrated communication, digital and marketing activities and effective event coordination for our clients conferences starting with the initial tender and sourcing of conference venues, engagement of event suppliers, through to the successful execution of the event and post-event administration.

Within the ConferenceNational parent brand, we have multiple subsidiary brands with which to work alongside. You will have the opportunity to apply your marketing and Events skills across a wide variety of marketing and event responsibilities and activities.
The position involves all aspects of day-to-day responsibilities, project marketing and event coordination tasks, including:
- Social media management for our clients conferences
- Website build and management for our clients conference websites
- Event App coordination using Entegy
- Build and coordination of conference registration forms using EventsAir
- Liaison with event suppliers for conferences, gala dinners and exhibitions
- Campaign management across both print and digital including website, EDM's, sponsorship, events and online marketing
- Content creation and copywriting
- Developing marketing materials including brochures, e-banners, conference handbooks, letters - both print and online
- Updating and maintaining marketing templates and standards ensuring brand conformity for our clients conferences
- Developing ideas and materials to support business development activities
- Sponsorship coordination and prospectus coordination
Additional Event Coordination Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tender documents and the collection of venue quotes and designing dynamic proposals.
- Liaise with clients, external venues, suppliers and partners to ensure logistical arrangements of conferences are established, monitored and managed,
- Assist with coordinating client and delegate event related travel and accommodation
- Together with the Event Manager, develop and manage conference budget in line with client expectations,
- Attend conferences as required to assist with the delivery/running of the event (may include weekends and travelling interstate or overseas on occasion),
- Assist with conducting post-conference review to obtain client feedback and to analyse success of event as it relates to client satisfaction, event execution and financial return.
- Other event management responsibilities and duties as required.

What you bring to us:

- Two to three years’ experience within a Marketing/ Communications or Events role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Indesign, Photoshop, Canva and demonstrate strong admin skills
- Experience with SquareSpace, EventsAir and Entegy
- Qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Communications/ PR or Events will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in an event agency is highly desirable but not essential
- Experience in Events Air/similar events management system or hotel reservations systems will be advantageous
- Able to work as part of a team and also autonomously
- Fantastic customer service, telephone etiquette and communication skills – including good written communication skills
- Highly professional presentation and manner,
- Demonstrates initiative and the desire and drive to learn
- Thrives on working in a busy environment and is able to keep cool, calm and collected when under pressure
- Well organised with a strong eye for detail and the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Can travel interstate and internationally as required
