At White Box, we’re on a mission to mainstream jobs-focused social enterprise in Australia. We work with social enterprises, government, investors and philanthropists to build, support and advocate for large-scale jobs-focused social enterprises, so that every individual can access meaningful and inclusive employment.
In the last five years we’ve enabled more than 700 new jobs, incubated four social enterprises, raised $51 million in blended finance for job creation projects, and are currently leading Australia’s first Payment By Outcomes trial in collaboration the federal government with 16 jobs-focused social enterprises.
With major projects ramping up in 2024, we’re on the hunt for an all-rounder to support our Head of Marketing and Communications for a six-month period.
The role and what you’ll bring
If you’re looking for a fast-paced, ambitious workplace that’s on a mission to create real change, we’re your people.
In this role you’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, planning and delivering marketing and communications campaigns across multiple social enterprise brands. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work independently, but also doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves to help others when needed.
Ideally ….
- You love social media – you’re a whiz at conceptualising, creating and posting content on various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook).
- You’re all about the data – you want to be certain the content you’re creating is hitting the mark with your target audience. You know your way around Google Analytics and social media analytics and you’re all over SEO.
- You’re also familiar with Canva, Wordpress, Loomly (or a similar scheduling tool) and Salesforce, and of course Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You’re a confident writer – whether it’s short form for socials, articles for news blogs or case studies for reporting, you’re able to unpack stories with people to help showcase the impact of the work we do.
- You care – not just about the quality of your work, but also the people around you. You’re also a believer in social enterprise and the impact it has on individuals, communities and the economy.
With all the above skills in your wheelhouse, you have some solid experience under your belt (ideally 5+ years).
This is a part-time fixed term role, 3-4 days per week for a minimum of six months. Ideally you’re Sydney or Brisbane-based, but this isn’t essential. If you’re the right fit for our organisation and you live outside these regions, please still apply.
