About us:
Smeg is an Italian home appliance manufacturer formed in 1948 by the Bertazzoni family and is based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia in the North of Italy. In 1986, the Smeg brand was introduced to Australia in its own right, with exclusive distribution rights then being granted to the company. Since then, the Smeg brand has become a household name in Australia for premium cooking and kitchen appliances, and in January 2011 the franchise was reinstated into the Smeg Group as a wholly owned subsidiary known as Smeg Australia Pty Ltd.
About the role:
This position will play a key role in driving the Smeg brand across all E-commerce channels. You will be responsible for E-commerce strategies and go to market plans that will help transform and shape the future of our e-business. Pivotal to your role, will be working alongside the Head of Marketing & Product to own the E-commerce experience, manage and execute the brand strategy across all social media communications while supporting the national promotional coordination. The focus will be to grow brand awareness through the social media strategy, drive sales through the e-commerce channels and ultimately brand equity in the market. This will involve working with the Head of Marketing & Product and Digital Manager to develop and executing a robust marketing plan above and below the line across consumer retail, commercial and food service divisions. You will have the ability to strategically develop and execute highly efficient digital campaigns that deliver set brand metrics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management and maintenance of Smeg’s e-commerce channel, social media platforms and digital properties including consumer promotions platform
- Work with Head of Marketing & Product on the development and management of an annual marketing calendar and go-to-market activation plans across key online retail channels to achieve channel targets.
- Manage digital partnerships and brand collaborations with key retail partners to drive online promotional activity
- Prepare and present post analysis performance reports, developing recommendations and actionable insights to continually improve the performance of all E-commerce marketing campaigns and activations.
- Coordinate the social media and promotions calendar with internal communication and across Smeg customers
- Maintaining social media and promotions calendar
- Liaise with agency partners during the creative briefing process to ensure all assets are delivered on time, to specification and on budget.
- Managing and maintaining budgets and forecasts for each project.
- Reporting on metrics
- Working closely with supply chain to manage logistics, stock levels and returns
- Monitoring social media comments, tags and replying when necessary
- Briefing the graphic designer, network partner/publisher
- Admin and adhoc tasks as required by the team
- Be aware of WH&S and associated legislative requirements by participating in training and be responsible for the health and safety of any visitors received.
- Comply with relevant WHS policies and continually look for improvements in the office
Key Performance Measures:
- Contributes to achievement of annual market share, sales revenue and profitability objectives across retail, commercial and foodservice divisions
- Delivers on set annual and campaign-related market growth objectives including customer acquisition, penetration, reach, distribution and related metrics.
- Achieves set brand equity measures across social media platforms, whilst optimising the effectiveness of the total marketing investment.
- Optimises digital media investment according to set media objectives, ROI and media spend across all media platforms and brand initiatives
- Deliver e-commerce/social media plans and an omni-channel experience according to set campaign objectives and track, optimise and report on all key digital metrics
- Prepare and provide post analysis performance reports on all set brand equity and digital performance across all key campaigns and total brand performance on a quarterly basis
- Shopify, website management (CMS – Content Management System) experience, Digital Advertising, Mailchimp
