Join Family Spirit, a boutique Adoptions and Foster Care agency, as our Communications and Marketing Officer and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving outcomes and quality of life for babies, children, young people and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development and promotion of the Family Spirit brand with engaging marketing strategies
- Develop and implement a communication plan and schedule
- Manage and maintain social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Support the updating of the Family Spirit website, including transferring content to WordPress
- Manage the development of communication materials for public awareness around foster care and adoptions.
- Manage advertising campaigns such as Google Ads
- Create and disseminate newsletters and engage members through regular communication
- Develop Family Spirit content and articles for our external stakeholders
- Promote and develop materials for our Annual Report.
- Develop and implement a fundraising and philanthropy framework.
About you
Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a research and/or clinical trial environment.
Technical Competence: Experience with web content management systems (WordPress), client relationship management systems (CTARS), MS Office, Canva, and AI tools.
Marketing Strategy: Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and execute marketing strategies and to enhance brand awareness.
Communication Plans: Proven ability to develop and maintain communication plans and schedules.
Content Creation: Experience in writing and managing communications and marketing materials for diverse audiences, including health professionals, academics, community healthcare consumers.
Media Strategies: Ability to develop and manage media campaigns including issuing media releases and exploring TV and radio advertising.
Social Media Management: Proven experience managing social media platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and developing strategies to increase engagement with key stakeholders.
Fundraising Coordination: Ability to support fundraising and community events and manage fundraising initiatives
Organisational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement processes ensuring marketing consistency with branding, style guides, templates) and prioritise across a broad scope of competing demands.
Collaborative Relationships: Ability to develop strong, collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
PREFERRED CRITERIA
Not-for-Profit Experience: Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.
Annual Reports: Demonstrated experience producing corporate Annual Reports.
AI Utilizations: Understanding and adapting AI tools for streamlined and efficient work processes.
