The Position
We seek an energetic Marketing Specialist in a newly developed role to join our busy team in the lead up to the 2024 Perth Royal Show. You will be responsible for supporting the marketing function across a number of portfolios with a focus on Campaigns, Social Media and support on Digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Campaign and Marketing Lead as part of a small, dedicated Marketing and Sponsorship team, your responsibilities include:
- Providing key input and support to the implementation of all RASWA marketing campaigns including planning, briefing, content creation, analysis, and reporting
- Building and executing a social media strategy and taking ownership of all RASWA social channels, organic and paid
- Craft and publish engaging social content that resonates with our key audiences
- Craft compelling copy for our key audiences for use across various channels
- Proactively seek aligned partnerships to generate further reach and followers
- Provide website recommendations and support
- Draft briefs – creative, photography and video
- Collaborate with external parties to create relevant content
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and identify target audiences
- Analyse marketing data to measure campaign performance and ROI, adjusting for continuous improvement and provide recommendations to optimise reach and engagement.
What You Need
Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or related discipline
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience with proven success in developing and implementing a social media strategy
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within the team, across the organisation and with stakeholders
- Exceptional project management, planning and time management skills and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Wordpress and Elementor experience
- Experience with digital platforms including CMS, Facebook Ads Manager and Instagram
- A strong understanding of marketing principles, the wider marketing function and how it supports the organisation’s delivery of events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
- Experience in creating engaging content, with a creative mindset and a knack for storytelling is required
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is required
While not essential, experience in the events industry would be highly favoured
