To create a fairer and better future for all children in South Australia by implementing the accepted recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care.As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability.This includes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life and implementing a Workforce Strategy.About the Role:The Manager, Workforce Strategy will lead a team of policy, project and workforce advisors/leads in the design, project management, and implementation of governmental policy development and key workforce attraction and retention strategies for Teachers and Educators across the Early Childhood Education and Care Sector.The position will be responsible workforce strategies that support the implementation of three-and four-year-old preschool in South Australia. They will lead their team to collaborate and consult with key stakeholders in the early childhood sector to facilitate positive outcomes for the OECD Workforce Strategy. The efforts will contribute to the overarching goal of providing accessible, effective, and impactful preschool that benefits children and families across South Australia.Capabilities and experience you will bring:
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency in developing and executing strategic plans to oversee the development and implementation of workforce and quality improvement programs effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in Workforce Strategy and planning, including in human services, education, community services or other related disciplines.
- Extensive experiencing in analysing and evaluating complex and sensitive policy issues and developing policy options under broad direction.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills with demonstrated success establishing networks and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
