Our client a Global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth CBD are currently seeking Material Coordinator to join them for a 2 year contract.
This position provides an opportunity to be involved in one of the world's largest operating CCSU projects. The CO2 Long Term Optimisation Project (LTOP) is being formed to support the optimisation of the existing Carbon Capture and Storage facilities on Barrow Island.
This role forms part of the CO2 LTOP Supply Chain Team responsible for the delivery of all contracts, materials and site services required to support CO2 Long Term Optimisation Project (LTOP)Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Materials Management (MM) activities in Perth, Henderson, Karratha/Dampier and BWI
- Execute to the project material management process and procedures utilising base business tools and resources.
- Support the delivery of Phase 4 Project Material Management deliverables.
- Interface with Worley Engineering and Procurement teams, to ensure maxamising of Chevron cataloged materials and tracking of materials between Worley and Chevron systems.
- Material status reporting using existing tools and resources and as required develop new reports to support business needs.
- Maintain Project freight forecast and ABU SCM freight forecast.
- Engage and set clear expectations contractors to validate accurate materials and equipment lists.
- Identify storage requirements for Company Procured Materials
- Engage and set clear expectations with contractors to ensure appropriate material storage and preservation facilities are in place.
- Engage and align with Project Logistics Coordinator to understand project materials movement schedules.
- Engage and align with ABU SCM Supply Base team to affect the safe movement and storage of materials at PDC and on BWI
- Engage and align with Project Delivery Teams and support functions to confirm materials, quantities and schedules for movement of Project materials.
- Engage with wider PLMM team to ensure timely and safe delivery of BWI procurement packages.
- Support Phase 4 project logistics movements
- Managing material flow from multiple sources to be delivered to multiple destinations with various required on site dates
- Project Engineering and Procurement contractor (Worley)
- Project Engineering, Wells and Facilities teams
- Project Support functions (Project Controls, HSE, Quality)
- ABU SCM (Materials, Procurement, Contracts, Logistics, Supply Base and Site Services)

- Data analytics using Excel and Power BI. Ability to develop Power BI reporting to support freight forecasts and materials management.
- Knowledge of ABU Materials Management tool (JDE) and procedures
- Experience in storage and preservation of materials
- Experience in materials receipting process.
- Experience in disposal of surplus materials
- Broad understanding of logistical and materials planning processes
- Ability to work closely with procurement and logistics functions in execution of end-to-end Supply Chains
