This role would operate on an 8/6 FIFO days only roster from Perth.
About the role:
Accountable for supporting the transport, delivery, and warehouse management of operational spares for inventory into the business, as a key aspect of Project delivery to the asset. The Materials Coordinator Warehouse, Inventory and Logistic (WIL) Operational Readiness (OR) applies technical expertise to solve problems with a focus on optimising delivery of materials to the customer.
- Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation and maximise value.
- Support warehouse capacity planning for management of project operational spares, including engagement with warehouse and operations maintenance customers to obtain input and problem solve.
- Safely executes the storage, handling, and transport of goods in alignment with safety and preservation standards, including sourcing material preservation and preventative maintenance requirements.
- Provides strategic specialist advice and recommendations on the best practice methods of logistics, transport, and delivery to WIL Operations.
- Track materials from vendor to site through tracking numbers and BHP property tools such as POD and SAP, expediting as required. Provide updates to customers.
- Coordinate escort and unloading requirements for upcoming freight including site access requirements.
- Completes materials movement updates in SAP
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework, and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Understand the standard of work and the manner of completing it that will ultimately meet the expectations of customers (on time delivery, meeting quality specifications, etc.)
- Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Previous experience working in a Warehouse, Inventory or Logistics role
- Understanding of Inventory & Work Management processes
- Demonstrated competence with computer-based planning systems (SAP)
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role.
- Certificate qualification, preferably in Warehouse or Logistics Management
- Current Australian drivers license
- Forklift License (Required)
