Industry leading organisation looking for a Mechanical Draftsperson for a 12-month contract.

They are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join their growing team.
Your new role
Utilising your knowledge and experience in steel fabrication and heavy industry equipment design, modelling and drafting, you will be responsible for the following:
- Planning and preparing high quality CAD models and drawings from supplied information using both Inventor and AutoCAD
- Using previous knowledge and experience to provide input to product design and improvements
- Analysing design problems and efficiently develop solutions that are fit for purpose
- Understanding manufacturing processes and look for opportunities to simplify design for efficient fabrication
- Collaboratively work with engineers and stakeholders to assist in ensuring all design and drafting requirements are addressed. Initiate regular design reviews where required
- Executing work in accordance with company and department policies and procedures, including the TLO Design and Drafting Processes and relevant Local/Project Standards.
- Use the ERP system to create Bill of Materials, manage document number creation and revisions
- Incorporating other disciplines into work if required, including electrical and hydraulic
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency using Inventor, Vault and AutoCAD
- High attention to detail and methodical approach to design and drafting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Current work rights in Australia
