Qualifications & experience
- 5 years experience in CAD design
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and designs
- Proficient with Word and Excel
- Data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy in all work
- Prima Power Machine Programming in NC Express and Master BendCam software (highly desirable)
- Proficient with CNC programming
Tasks & responsibilities
- Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics and 2D and 3D digital models, using measurements, specifications and additional data from the Team.
- Annotate and verify all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings and schematics using both CAD programs and manual calculations
- Assist in the ongoing standardisation and unification of design document standards
- Training and mentoring of Team members
- Working with machine software to create files for the efficient programming of machinery including turret punch, panel bender and press brake
- Generating reports
- Creating shop drawings and steelwork detailing
- Manual assembly of R&D prototypes
- CNC programming
