Mechanical Engineer

Aambianz Pty Ltd provides sun control, ventilation and balustrade solution to the construction industry. Our major products are Ventilation Louvres, Architectural Louvres, Acoustic Louvres, Solar Shading and Perforated Screens.  

We are looking for several Mechanical Engineers to fulfill vacancies. Applicants with suitable ability to lead a team of workers, interpret drawing to other staff. Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary, with ability to work in team environment. 

  Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Reviewing and understanding functional statements, project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers 

• Establishing work measurement programs and analysing work samples /designs to develop standards for labour utilisation 

• Organising and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment 

• Analysing workforce utilisation, production schedules and costs to ensure optimum performance is maintained

• Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time 

• Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations 

• Inspecting site to ensure optimum performance  

• Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques

• Creates and maintains professional schedules 

• Evaluates the condition of production equipment 

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Civil Engineering with 3-5 years work experience

• Ability to interpret and communicate engineering plans to team members within a leadership role

• Broad knowledge of production planning processes

• Strong understanding of Architectural Aesthetics of Buildings

• Familiarity with Fabrication, installation of Aluminium Panels, louvres, balustrades

• Strong ability to communicate with project teams to raise questions and query potential discrepancies

• Maintain a knowledge and understanding of Trends and Technology related to louvres, sunshades and façade elements for buildings

• Knowledge of steel/aluminium structure elements like brackets, baseplates, post, sheet metal, angles, channels, fixings etc.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Currently involved in making Shop Drawings and Fabrication drawings for Building Facades like louvres, sunshades, perforated panels, cladding etc. 

• Ability to understand in detail the civil/architectural drawings, wall types of building projects and come up with optimized Connection design.

• CAD Experience. 

• Strong problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to prioritise according to production schedules. 

• Experience working with computer and electronic equipment preferred.

• Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
