About the Role:
To provide Mechanical Engineering support and coordination, ensuring the business deliver on a portfolio of assigned company projects.
The role is responsible for creating detailed mechanical design and documentation for the manufacture of company products, whilst providing essential materials that support the preparation of budgets, tenders, and product development.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Working with Project Managers, implementing the technical design delivery on projects and assisting in design change control processes
- Utilising skills and knowledge of computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment to perform a wide range of engineering tasks
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards, design, equipment specifications and customer requirements in accordance with operational and safety standards
- Quality control of mechanical manufacturing processes and technical support for production equipment and systems
- Preparing specifications for purchase of equipment and materials
- Collaborating with customers, Engineers and Technicians to design and apply new system processes, while seeking to improve and innovate product designs
About You:
- Degree qualifications and previous experience working in a similar role within an industrial engineering and/or mining organization
- A comprehensive understanding of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
- A thorough understanding of equipment installations, with the ability to diagnose faults and provide technical evaluation of mechanical systems and equipment
- Documentation writing, ITP's, O&M Manuals, commissioning documents, project design
- Excellent mathematical skills with an ability to apply advanced principles and statistics to solve problems
- A desire to continually seek efficiency and quality improvements with engineering and design standards
