Mechanical Engineer Submariner (Uni Sponsorship)

Your role: 
As a Mechanical Engineer Submariner, you'll be the technical expert onboard submarines. You'll get more responsibility early in your career than most civilian engineer roles and have opportunities to travel overseas. Your responsibilities will include the repair and maintenance of the submarine's structures, systems, and associated mechanical services. 

If you’re already studying or ready to study a job-relevant degree at your choice of accredited university, you can join the Navy and have your fees paid for. You’ll earn a salary while you complete your degree and walk straight into a Navy role following graduation.   

The professional development you gain as a Navy Engineer enables automatic Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation with Engineers Australia, giving you international recognition of your engineering competency.

Salary:  
When you first join the Navy and while studying for your degree at the university of your choice, you will be paid between $35,326 and $54,166 depending on your year of study.  

Upon completion of your degree, initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $106,884.

For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen and be able to provide evidence that you are enrolled in or studying a Bachelor of Engineering in either Mechanical, Marine/Ocean, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Electrical (Power), or Naval Architecture.
