We are seeking for experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineers to join our team located in New South Wales.The RoleReporting to the Engineering Workshop Manager, this role is technically responsible for product development and continuous improvement. It shall also ensure brand integrity and high safety standards are met by designing and testing quality trailers in accordance with customers' expectations, industry requirements and the management of subordinate staff.The duties will include:
- Develop concepts, technical drawings and designs in accordance with customer requirements, industrial standards, material and quote specifications.
- The resolution of all internal design and engineering inquiries.
- Managing the performance of direct reports such as the Graduate Engineer and any consulting engineers.
- Conduct testing, analysis and continuous improvement.
- Comply with all document management protocols.
- Communication of all changes and modifications with all relevant parties.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the job and prior to product delivery.
- Management of Job Cards and IP.
- Consulting with management on new design ideas and concepts.
- Providing technical advice.
- Ensuring effective communication amongst team members and other departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all industry codes, standards and practices.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Relevant Engineering Degree
- Relevant industry experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer aided design skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and quality focused.
- $70,000 - $80,000 per year (commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience)
