Mechanical Fitter

Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team and work on a variety of Sydney Water sites and assets, including wastewater sites. You will be maintaning essential infrastructure, much of it is 'vintage' and troubleshooting a diverse range of mechanical equipment including Clarifyers, Pumping Units, Sed Tanks, Valves, etc. This is a long term program of works offering job stability and the opportunity for training and career progression.

ABOUT YOU

• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Drivers License (to drive your Tool of Trade vehicle to sites)
• Work Safely at Heights, Enter Confined Space, Provide First Aid (all nice to have but we will send you for training if you don't).
• Able to execute work tasks with minimal supervision.
• Enthusiasm and passion for getting things working.

Desirable Skills

• Flange Management
• Welding Experience
• Elevated Work Platform
• Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect)
• High Risk Work Licence - Dogging (DG) Competent in core elements required for the discipline and demonstrated experience in some site-specific tasks
• Leads reliability and performance improvements
• Trains and coaches other staff
