You will work within plant biosecurity on the Cooperative Plant Pest and Disease Surveillance Project, where you will:
- Offer guidance to stakeholders regarding project intricacies and ensure smooth communication channels are maintained on a regular basis.
- Develop, refine, and assess project documentation, ensuring clarity and coherence throughout.
- Manage the organisation and accessibility of project-related files in adherence to established protocols and departmental standards.
- Monitor and update project schedules, financial allocations, and key milestones, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to compile reports detailing the progress and status of project deliverables.
- Proactively identify potential challenges within the project domain, proposing viable solutions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Employ a variety of project management methodologies and software tools to facilitate streamlined workflow and collaboration.
- Utilise analytical prowess and strategic problem-solving skills to effectively prioritise tasks and responsibilities within defined timelines and objectives.
- Execute routine procurement tasks in alignment with prescribed procedures and authorsation protocols outlined by the department.
- A Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or similar from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Experience with state government financial systems will be an advantage.
- Knowledge, skills, and experience in project management.
- A current ‘C’ class driver’s license. You may be required to travel within Queensland or interstate for work purposes.
