Form of workOur client is a busy manufacturing facility in the Northern suburbs specialising in the production of lumber products.
Our client is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team working 4 x 12-hour days per week (Monday to Friday). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years prior experience in Mechanical Fitter operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and hold a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
Duties include:
- Regularly maintaining plant and equipment.
- Rectifying breakdowns within a timely manner.
- Diagnosing issues using critical and logical thinking.
- Equipment installation and fabrication.
- Using SAP computer systems where necessary.
- Flexibility to be available for on-call work when required.
Essential Criteria:
- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting.
- Current LF license.
- Current driver's license.
- Minimum of 2 years fixed plant manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
- EWP license.
- Working at heights confirmation of competency.
- Confined space confirmation of competency.
